Is Testicular Torsion a Real Problem in Pediatric Patients With Cryptorchidism?

Purpose: To present management and outcomes of patients with cryptorchidism suffering from testicular torsion. Methods: This is a retrospective review pediatric torsion undescended testes, who were treated between 2009 2019. We recorded: the age, symptoms, duration torsion, results physical examination, surgery findings, additional treatment. Additionally, an extensive online literature search, 2015–2020, was performed to identify other similar case series. Results: identified 9 boys gonad, which represented 4.7% all 192 The mean age testis 8.7 years. symptoms in our study group long it up 28.5 h. All had inguinal canal exploration. In eight cases, necrosis primary orchidectomy performed. Furthermore, 45 cases reviewed. Conclusion: According clinical experience available studies, male gonads comparatively rare condition. Nevertheless, diagnosis still delayed connected inevitable orchidectomy.
